Vitex agnus-castus | Women's Monthly Wellness · Hormone Balance · Whole Berry

In medieval Europe, monks ground these peppery little berries over their food, earning the plant its old nickname, "monk's pepper." Centuries earlier, Greek physicians including Hippocrates and Dioscorides wrote about the chaste tree. Over time, its berry became one of the best-known herbs in European women's wellness.*

Chaste berry is studied for its relationship to the body's own hormone-signaling pathways, and clinical research has examined its role in comfort before and during the monthly cycle.* Its traditional use is slow and steady, with effects building over about three months of consistent use.*
